  1. When did you decide to become an entrepreneur, and why?

Even before starting Nebu I already developed software for physiotherapists, to keep track of their patients, appointments and invoicing. I have always loved to help companies by automating their processes. My former partner Fred Broers and I started together in 1992, when I just graduated from the University of Amsterdam.

  1. What kind of entrepreneur are you?

I am a very focused entrepreneur who is always looking for ways to learn and improve. I would always prefer to see my company continue to grow and perform than moving on and starting the next one.

Nebu is an established and well-known company within market research. It is our ambition to provide our clients with high performance software that secures the heartbeat of every research operation: data collection. We are active in many countries globally, with over 90 clients in Germany, UK, USA, New Zealand, India and many more.

  1. Describe the past, present and future of your company

Nebu has a history of seeing where the market is going and enabling its clients to operate in the front league with innovative products. Presently we have a coherent strategy in place with products, services and a network that meets the needs of all our clients and has the potential to serve many more.

We are growing towards a leading position in the data collection and data management solutions. Our network of partners enables us to do that much faster than an organisation which has kept its sales in-house.

  1. What is the unique value of the products/services you offer?

The Nebu Data Hub is bringing big data to research, enabling researchers to keep historic data and combine research data with all kinds of other sources of data. We already have a reputation for anticipating future market trends and with this innovation we are enabling researchers to lift their value proposition and be future-proof.

Our model of working with a (growing) partner network is also unique in the industry, bringing the best of breeds together.

  1. What is the main goal of your equity crowdfunding campaign?

Enabling growth. We have invested in our new and existing products and our network, the Nebu Ecosystem. We have prepared well for the next stage in our company's development and our objective now is to accelerate this growth.

We also see this equity crowdfunding campaign as a form of market research. It's useful to see the reaction of investors to our business proposition and we have received some valuable feedback. Of course we anticipate that the campaign will also help to spread the word about Nebu and indeed we have seen an increased brand awareness.

  1. What have you learnt from your equity crowdfunding campaign so far?

I learned that investors like to be close to the companies they invest in. This can really benefit all parties involved. I also learned that investors tend to respect the decisions of their fellow investors, and so actually you see the investments are made in waves.
